The following pictures are from a clothing consignment shop in Dunnellon, FL called the Repeat Boutique.  The owner is a friend and when she moved her shop I helped her out with the decor (budget around $ 250!) and she helped me out by carrying my jewelry for sale.

These are some of the items on the wall.  The rectangular pieces are made from floor tile I dumpster dived out of a construction site in my neighborhood while walking.  The tiles are embellished with ribbon, feathers, beads, and vintage jewelry.

This is the completer wall arrangement.  It includes a beautiful glass dish that features a flower and the word 'love,' a metal word are piece that says 'Wish,' a small, ornate frame painted black with a floral shabby print inside, a small whimsical crown painted silver and of course the tile.

Another arrangement featuring a shoe themed tile with pearl accents and a black and white vintage metal flower brooch, as well as another crown this time painted pink, a frame ensemble featuring gross grain ribbon and a picture of Joan Crawford.

I had these in my old shop and have them hanging in the RB to sell.  I have a couple of beautiful actresses left if anyone is interested.....they run $25 plus shipping - both my cost.

I found some very neat vintage gloves with imperfections (cheap ;o) ) that I used and put to the backside.  They are in different areas of the shop as well.  The round mirror is actually attached to the gloves as  well as the ribbon!  Love it!  The picture is of America's Mermaid Ester Williams - didn't recognizer with her clothes on did you!  haha.  The shelf features zebra striped candles and a wire crown I painted pink.

The clock, in between 'live' and 'laugh' is made from two plates - cake and cup size - with a clock insert that takes batteries - lasted a year so far!  The hat box is a vintage hat box from Best & Co.  It is sitting on top of an old wooden bottle crate I hung on the wall as a shelf/shadow box.  In and on the box is a Tiffany shopping bag as well as a Brighton shopping bag.  Along side the crate, and below it but you can't see in photo, is a wrought iron hook for purses, belts, etc.

These little frames are faux leather with white stitch trim and feature various designer names she carries in the store.....

In the jewelry area you see Capote style lamps.  I found them at a yard sale for $20 for the pair!!!!  You also can see Jean Harlow in the background along with a couple of wire bust figures on top of an old buffet.  That buffet was dingy yellow with psycodelic lining inside (that was yellow, green, and orange!  Get your bell bottoms out and pop on Sonny and Cher!)  There is a horse figure in front of Jean that I had in my old shop for sale.  The base broke on him in shipping so I kept it knowing I could do something with - famous words!  Well this time I did.  I painted him silver and he adds a touch of class to the group.  Finally the shoe area, I made gift looking boxes and lifts from just plain cardboard shipping, liquor store boxes, etc.  I bought some pretty gift bags at the dollar tree because it is stronger than wrapping paper with a shiny finish to cover some of them.  I covered others with fabric and ribbon.  This allowed her shoe table some depth and height.  The shoe table is skirted with polka-dot material to gift her storage underneath.

That's right I can't even leave the bathrooms alone!  There's two but the other one is storing excess right now.  If I can get photos of it I will post later.  Both were meant to serve primarily as dressing rooms then bathrooms.  This one has a polka-dotted current draped by the toilet for a little dramatic effect.  There are white paper lanterns hanging above the sink with a floral piece behind it.  The floral piece features scenes of Paris, cafes, parks, etc.  It is actually made from a really cute skirt I never wore - made my ankles look like cankles!

There is a pretty wooden shelving unit in there for knick knack and sale items.  On top of it is a pillow I recovered and beside it a picture I made.  I painted pink smudges all over the canvas then white washed it.  I found a really neat picture of the Eiffel Tower looking up through trees.  I created a negative from the photo and printed it onto frosted transparency paper, 4 sheets.  I took some silk flowers left over from my wedding and cut one up for the falling petals.  I framed the focal point with the words 'l'ame de mode....mon Paris cheri' which means 'the heart of fashion....my beloved Paris.'  The piece also has small touches like the translation written out at the bottom along with my signature, there are vintage buttons for the two 'o's and the two 'i's in the phrase.  I really had fun with that project!

This of course was my Christmas gift to Dana.  It is a very long sign that weighs a ton because it is made from wood, concrete, and tile.

Dana, the Repeat Boutique's owner, chose black and pink for the shop colors.  I tried to incorporate this everywhere in some form, shade or fashion.  I mixed a shabby chic feel with a spunky cafe feel using bold colors, soft florals, classic beauties form Hollywood, chic statements such as the gloves, animal prints, polka-dots, harlequin patterns, and embracing the core of fashion with a variety of textures from wood, metal, cloth, ribbon, feathers, tiles, concrete, and more.

I had a blast the whole time and would love to do more.  Thanks again Dana!
